Personal Data Retention and Disposal Approach

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Stayka keeps personal data relevant, limited and proportionate to the purpose, and deletes, destroys or anonymizes data when the purpose and legal basis end.

1. Scope

Stayka does not operate visitor accounts, newsletters, user ratings, payments, bookings or a contact form and therefore does not build persistent user profiles or transaction histories.

2. Browser preferences

Language and Google Maps/cookie choices may be stored in the user's browser localStorage. The map/cookie choice is requested again no later than every 180 days. Users can clear browser data or change the choice at any time through Cookie Preferences.

3. Technical security logs

Hosting and infrastructure services may create limited technical logs for security, error diagnosis and abuse prevention. Such records are retained only while technically or legally necessary.

4. Email

If a user voluntarily emails info@stayka.co, the message and contact details are kept only as long as needed to respond, meet legal obligations or protect legal rights.

5. Disposal

When the purpose or legal basis ends and no other legal retention duty applies, records are deleted, destroyed or irreversibly anonymized within a reasonable period. Deletion from backups may complete with the technical backup cycle.

6. Third parties

Retention periods used by Google, Tripadvisor and other third parties are outside Stayka's control and are governed by those providers' own policies.

Cookie preferences

Stayka uses necessary browser storage. Third-party map content such as Google Maps loads only if you allow it. See the Cookie Policy page for details.
