KVKK Information Notice

This notice explains Stayka.co's own personal-data processing activities under Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698.
1. Data controller and contact
Stayka.co is an independent, sole-proprietor city-guide service operated under the Stayka brand. For processing carried out under this website's own control, the data controller is the individual who operates Stayka.co. The legal-notice and KVKK contact channel is info@stayka.co; the controller's full name is shared with a data subject upon a verified request under Article 11 of Law No. 6698.
2. Service
Stayka provides information about accommodation, gastronomy, culture, routes, events and places. Stayka is not a party to any sale, payment, booking or contract; third-party links are for information and redirection only.
3. Data categories
Stayka does not operate visitor accounts, user ratings, newsletters, payments, bookings or a contact form. Limited data may include language and map/cookie choices stored in the browser; IP address, request time, browser/device and error data in technical logs; and information voluntarily sent by email. Google may process connection data when Google-sourced images load or, after permission, Maps opens; Open-Meteo may process connection data when weather information is requested.
4. Purposes
Data may be processed only as necessary to operate and secure the site, remember preferences, diagnose errors, respond to voluntary email requests, meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or protect legal rights.
5. Collection and legal grounds
Data may be collected through technical site operation, browser localStorage or email voluntarily sent by the user. Depending on context, processing may rely on the legal grounds listed in Article 5(2) of Law No. 6698. Optional Google Maps content is not loaded before the user's choice.
6. Recipients
Base44 and other hosting, infrastructure, domain and technical providers may access technical data only as needed to operate the service. Technical connection data may be sent to Google when Google-sourced images load, to Open-Meteo when the weather widget runs, and to Google after the user allows Maps. External links to Tripadvisor, Wikipedia or booking providers initiate a direct connection only when clicked. Stayka does not sell personal data to advertisers or conduct marketing profiling.
7. International transfers
Opening global third-party content such as Google Maps may create a technical connection between the user's device and systems outside Türkiye. The optional Google Maps iframe is blocked by default and loads only after a separate user choice. Any transfer under Stayka's control is carried out only where an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguard or applicable statutory exception under Article 9 of Law No. 6698 supports the specific processing. Following an external link initiates a direct interaction with that provider and is governed by the provider's own privacy terms.
8. Retention
Browser preferences may remain until removed or changed. Email data voluntarily sent is kept only as long as necessary to respond, meet legal obligations or protect legal rights. When the purpose ends, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized as applicable.
9. Article 11 rights
Data subjects have the rights granted by Article 11 of Law No. 6698, including access, information, correction, deletion/destruction where applicable, recipient information, objection to solely automated results and compensation for unlawful processing.
10. Application
KVKK requests may be sent to info@stayka.co with sufficient information to identify the applicant and the request. Only information reasonably necessary to verify identity may be requested. Applications are handled within the statutory period, generally no later than 30 days. See the KVKK Application page for details.
